Wee Care Office Staff

Katie Jones
Director

I have been a part of the Wee Care Family my entire life. I went to preschool here when I was young and have some of the most amazing memories from my time here as I child. My family has been a part of Fellowship for as long as I can remember and so it only seemed natural that I would get a job with Wee Care while I was in High School. I started working as an afternoon teacher when I was 17 and found myself working in the Enrollment Specialist position by the time I was 20. After graduating from Florida State University the position for Director became available. God made very clear to me that this was the path He was asking me take. This place is home to me and the people are my family. While we may not have the most up to date toys or the fanciest facility, we will love your babies and teach them about their Savior who loves them.

Rebecca Studard
Assistant Director

I am Rebecca Studard and I have lived in Tallahassee for 14 years and have worked at Wee Care for 10 of those years. My husband and I have two amazing boys who attend Wee Care. I love being the Assistant Director because I am able to get to know and love all of the children and their families.

Sarah Abarbanel
Enrollment Specialist

My name is Sarah, and I was born and raised in Tallahassee! I have been working in this field for 19 years, the past 12 of those at Wee Care.  I started out teaching the 4’s and VPK, and I am currently the Enrollment Specialist. The thing I love most about this job is watching children become engaged and get really excited about learning! My husband and I have 2 daughters, a 3 year old who currently attends Wee Care and a 12 year old who is a Wee Care graduate. I enjoy going to the beach, spending time with my family and friends and watching college football. Go Noles!

I was born in Jamaica, lived in the Republic of Panama and taught in the Military Pre-School for 12 years. I love working with children and have been in this field for 38 years. Working with children can be challenging but also rewarding. It brings me such joy to be able to give all of them unconditional love, praising and encouraging them with loving words and watching them grow in wisdom and in the favor of God. Jesus Christ is enough for me!

Cherelle Davis

This will be my 6th year working at Wee Care! I have studied Early Childhood Education and have worked with children of all ages. I love children and it is amazing to see them grow and learn new things. Before I became a teacher, I had no idea you could fit the love for so many children into one heart!

Jenniffer Longman-Atkison
Room 111, Three- and Four-Year Old’s

I am married with two children, ages 20 and 15. When I am not at work I enjoy walking and hiking, volunteering at my daughters’ school and I dabble in photography. I started teaching in 1998. From 1998 until 2005 I taught prek-3 and prek-4. Then from 2005-2010 I taught ages 1-3. Then in 2010 I returned to my love, teaching older 3’s and 4-year old’s. Every year, every age group has taught me so much and is what keeps me happy and coming back to work each day.

Wendy Bufkin
Room 105, Infants

I am a retired registered nurse and have been working at Wee Care for 3 years. I have enjoyed every minute of it! I believe it is both an honor and privilege to care for your precious children. My favorite about working in the infant room is watching them master their first milestones!

Shereara Cohen
Room 105, Infants

I have been working in child care for 25 years and am currently loving working in the infant room. I enjoy laughing, singing and of course cuddling the babies! Working with children has always been my passion. It is such a blessing to be able to watch them grow!

Susan Pye
VPK

I started working with young children in 2001 and have 7 years of experience working as a VPK teacher. As educators it is our responsibility to stimulate all parts of the brain by offering multiple learning opportunities on a daily basis. I understand no two children are the same so it’s important to treat each child as an individual while still treating them equally.

Tanisha Gibson
VPK

I have worked at Wee Care for 7 years and with all ages! Once I earned my A.A Degree in Early Childhood Education I began teaching VPK and that has been so rewarding! I am excited to continue to educate young children and help them as they prepare for Elementary School. I am continuing my education and will soon earn my Bachelors degree!

Peggy Daniels
Assistant

I have been working in child care for 23 years and have worked with all ages. I recently moved over to an assistant position which I love because I get to spend time with all the children! I feel so blessed to work in such a rewarding career and I am looking forward to many more years in child care.
